Army of Women members—We need your help! Many of you have already stepped up and helped raise awareness by telling your friends, colleagues and family members about why they should sign up for the Army of Women. If you haven’t yet, won’t you join countless others in helping get the word out? We have been invited to promote the Army of Women at various events/opportunities around the country and are looking for volunteers to represent us!

The Army of Women has generously been offered discounted or free tables at the following events and we are looking for volunteers to staff the table in order to educate and encourage attendees to sign up for the Army of Women:

  • Brides Against Breast Cancer Charity Wedding Gown Sale
    February 18-19 • Tampa, FL
    The Brides Against Breast Cancer™ Charity Wedding Gown Sale on Feb 3-4 in Greenville, SC contributes to programs for cancer patients and their families. Their outreach and educational efforts during their "Tour of Gowns" bridal shows around the country help ensure that people impacted by cancer have the resources and information they need in their battle with cancer.   • C4YW Annual Conference
    February 24–26 • New Orleans, LA
    Living Beyond Breast Cancer and Young Survival Coalition have created C4YW—an annual conference for young women affected by breast cancer and those who support them. The conference is at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans, Friday, Feb. 24 through Sunday, Feb. 26. Learn more here.   • UCSD Annual Women’s Conference
    March 17 • San Diego, CA

    The theme for this year’s San Diego Women’s Conference is (Re)Defining the UC San Diego Woman: Keeping the Momentum. Some of San Diego’s most remarkable business women will discuss their leadership style and the career choices that got them to where they are today.   • Sisters Network Inc. Stop the Silence Walk
    April 14 • Houston, TX
    The Sisters Network Inc. is committed to increasing local and national attention to the impact breast cancer has on the African American community. Funds raised from Stop the Silence benefit the Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP). BCAP provides support to women facing financial challenges after breast cancer diagnosis. This program offers free mammograms and financial support for medical related lodging, co-pay, office visits, prescriptions and transportation. Learn more here.   • Jr. League Annual Conference
    April 19-21• San Francisco, CA

    The Junior Leagues are charitable nonprofit organizations of women, developed as civic leaders, creating demonstrable community impact. The Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. is comprised of more than 155,000 women in 292 Junior Leagues throughout Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States. Each year the Association holds its Annual Conference to provide tools and inspiration to League leaders as well as an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable work of Leagues across the Association.   • Annual Prayer Fellowship

    The Hollypark United Methodist Church in Gardena, CA will be hosting their Annual Prayer Fellowship. They will have a choir for cancer survivors that all survivors are welcome to participate in.   • LBBC Annual Conference for Young Women Living with Metastatic Breast Cancer
    April 28-29 • Philadelphia, PA

    Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s Annual Conference for Women Living with Metastatic Breast Cancer: Enhancing Your Health and Quality of Life is on Saturday, April 28, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 29, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel in Center City. This year’s conference spotlights the most relevant medical and quality of life information needed to live well with metastatic breast cancer. Learn more here.
