It Takes an Army Video Submission

Thank you for your interest in sharing your story! Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can share your video with us.

Step 1: Turn on your video camera! Press the record button.

Step 2: Record a video message…

Tell us about the moment you knew breast cancer had changed your life. Then, tell us about the moment you knew your life could change breast cancer.

Step 3: Upload your video to YouTube

Okay, this step may be more challenging for some of us. Below is a video that shows you “How to Upload” your video. You are also welcome to upload it to other video sharing sites, like Vimeo.

  • Add a TITLE to your video: Start with "It Takes an Army of Women"
  • Add a DESCRIPTION: Your description should include "Join the Army of Women at www.armyofwomen.org" The full description only has to be a few sentences. This helps when others are searching for videos.
  • Add TAGS (also known as keywords): Including TAGS is also important so others can find your video. Include "It Takes an Army" "breast cancer" "Army of Women": To note, you have to use quotes around phrases.

Beginning in October, the Army of Women team will highlight your videos on our Army of Women website that is viewed by more than 100,000 visitors a month.

More importantly, you can also share your message with your friends and family and use your story as a tool to help recruit more volunteers.
