Army of Women Steering Committee
The Love/Avon Army of Women will be governed by a steering committee that will be responsible for major decision making regarding direction, and vision. This committee comprised of two representatives from the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation (Dr. Susan Love, President, and Naz Sykes, Executive Director), two representatives from the Avon Foundation for Women (Carol Kurzig, President, and Marc Hurlbert, Executive Director), Fran Visco, President, National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC), Margaret Foti, Chief Executive Officer, American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), and Marion Kavanaugh-Lynch, Executive Director, California Breast Cancer Research Program.
As part of the Army of Women Steering Committee, bith the American Association for Cancer Research and the National Breast Cancer Coalition are helping to sustain this initiative by assisting with the recruitment of scientists and/or women. Both organizations also hold positions on the Army of Women Scientific Advisory Committee.
